Enjoy Manali Ladakh Trekking Tour

Ladakh is a magnificent and an unexplored wonderland of the Himalayas. It is one place that is considered as a heaven by everyone who is on a lookout to satiate their indomitable love for adventure. Besides trekking in Ladakh, you can indulge in a series of adventure sports such as biking, water rafting, safaris, etc. Also known as the ‘Land of Passes, Ladakh forms an alluring part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India.


Itinerary (11 days)

    Arrive Delhi

    You are met on arrival in Delhi and transfer to your hotel.

    Delhi to Manali

    Drive the car to Manali, by passing through the an important junction on the salt route to Tibet, Mandi is the gateway to the Kullu valley. Moving through the Mandi, tourists will see the impressive Pandoh Dam diverts water from the Beas River two 12 tunnels to Baggi. The beautiful view of the mountains can be enjoyed moving through the Sainj valley. On the way to Manali, there are interesting things to see long both sides of the 42 kms valley. Like, Vaishno Devi Temple-a small cave with the Vaishno Devi Temple. And other interesting places to discover is Katrain, Patlikuhl, Nagar and Roerich Gallery.

    Manali to Keylong

    Drive the taxi toward Leh, after the local sight seeing of Manali: At the northern end of the Kullu Valley, is the main resort in the area. Its beautifully situated and there are many pleasant walks around the town, as well as a large numbers hotels and restaurants. Attraction of Local sight seeing.

    Keylong to Leh (Hemis)

    The tough journey will begin toward Leh, Darcha is the major tent site on this road. While next move is the Baralachala, which is 4883 metres means crossroads pass. Just after this pass tourist are entered to the another tent site called Sarchu. The journey becomes more adventurous and interesting while passing the Lachlung La, 5060 metres, is the second highest pass on the Manali-Leh road. The next destination is the Pang, just the tourists are moving through the Taglang La, the second highest motorable road of the world, 5328 metres. On the descent tourists are entering in to the Ladakh region and the first village is the Upshi and one can enjoy the beautiful landscape and magnificent valley views.

    Hemis to Pangong Lake/ Tso Moriri Lake

    In the morning visit the Hemis monastery. The travellers have the option to visit either of the Lakes. Hemis Monastery : This is biggest and the most important monastery in Ladakh. It is situated 49 kms to south of Leh, a little off the main Leh-Manali road. It was built in the 17th century by Chapgon Gyalshas and ever since has enjoyed the patronage of the royal family. Hemis is the headquater of the Drukpa order and all the monasteries throughout Ladakh are administered by it. It also trains Lamas for the royal monasteries at Leh, Shey and Bazgo. In the 19th century it faced a siege by general Zorawar Singh. The Gompa was saved to the skillful handing of the situation by the head Lama.

    Pangong Lake/ Tso Moriri Lake to Leh

    Leh - Alchi

    After breakfast, we leave for Alchi. Located 70 kms west of Leh, is the Uletokpo camp where we arrive rest, have lunch and then leave for a tour of Alchi monastery and the nearby village. Considered one of the most well preserved Buddhist centers of Ladakh, the Alchi monastery has beautiful paintings on its walls, which are examples of early Buddhist art. In Alchi village you can see the rural lifestyle of the villagers including activities such as grinding wheat etc. Stay overnight at the camp.

    Alchi - Lamayuru - Alchi

    After breakfast we drive to Lamayuru, where we tour the Lamayuru monastery. Also called the Yung-drung (Swastika) monastery, Lamayuru is one of the oldest monasteries in Central Ladakh. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Lamayuru village and explore its surroundings in the afternoon. Return to the camp in the evening to stay overnight.

    Leh

    Your last day in Leh is at your disposal. You can go shopping, sightseeing or pursue any activity of your choice.

    Leh - Delhi

    After an early breakfast we leave for the airport, where you can board the flight to Delhi. Our representative will meet you at Delhi airport and help you check into your hotel. Check into your hotel and relax. Stay overnight at the hotel.

    Delhi

    Full Day Free. and Evening Transfer to the airport.
