Today after having breakfast at the hotel, start your journey towards Kargil road towards Kargil is very scenic. The first enchanting beauty which made you spell bound is drive through boulevard roadside Dal Lake, within two hours you left Srinagar and started running on the curves of Himalaya with spectacular Indus. As the time pass on your eyes experiencing the sparkle of green mountains with snow cap cover it. Then comes the climb up to Zojila pass (11575 ft) and the views are breath taking, further destination is Drass you can stop over for a cup of tea and experience why it is the second coldest inhabited place in the world. At Drass there situated War Memorial of 1999 war heroes. By the late evening you will reach at Kargil, overnight stay at Kargil hotel.
After breakfast drive to leh which is 234 km from Kargil, enroute visit the ancient rock statue of Maitreya Buddha at Mulbekh after that Namikala pass at height of (12139 ft).Further that another la that’s Fotola pass (13478 ft), later stop at Lamayuru monastery its one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh, Moonland, Magnetic hill Which known as Gravity hill, further that you will reach the confluence of Zanskar & Indus River. Later Pathar sahib Gurudwara constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak it was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to Ladakh, by the evening you will reach at Leh, Overnight stay at Leh hotel.
Today after having breakfast at hotel, you will proceed for the local sightseeing, visits Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace. Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist religious monument built by Indian based Japanese monk whose purpose was to spread Buddhism by building such Stupa. Further that you will visit Leh Palace. It was built in the 17th century by King Sengey Namgyal, Leh palace is a former royal palace in leh its nine storey building. On the way back to hotel visit Hall of fame, Hall of fame is a museum constructed and maintained by Indian army in the memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives during Kargil wars. By the evening you will reach at the hotel, overnight stay at Leh hotel.
Today after having breakfast at the hotel, drive to Nubra valley (known as the valley of flower) and the warmest region in Ladakh via Khardungla. This road is considered to be the highest Motorable road of the world, en route admire the spectacular views of the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardungla (18380 ft) after some times at Khardungla, proceed to Nubra, Later you will reach the famous sand dunes of Hunder also known as “Desert in the Sky” you can enjoy camel safari on double humped bacterian camels at Hunder, Overnight stay at Hunder camp.
After having breakfast at guest house, start your drive towards Pangong via Shayok. On the way crossing village chulunkha, Hunder and Diskit monastery, this monastery is the oldest monastery and largest Buddhist monastery in Nubra valley. It belongs to Gelukspa sect of the Tibetan Buddhism. It was built by Lama Sherab Zangpo of Stod in about 1420 AD, after that turn to your left for Shayok its total off road. By the evening you will reach Pangong Lake, this lake acts an important breeding ground for variety of birds such as bar headed goose, Brahmini ducks. The lake also supports a number of species of wildlife including Kiang and Marmot. The lake is largest salted lake in the world located at height of 14256 ft. Overnight stay at Pangong camp.
After having breakfast at the camp, start your day early when the surrounding of the lake look even more beautiful. Later on start driving towards Tsomoriri via Man, Merak and after that Chushul village, Chushul is the border village between India & China. Later you will reach Tsaga la (15207 ft) by crossing Tsaga la you will reach Loma bend take to your right further you will reach at Mahe Bridge and then Karzok village at Tsomoriri (Tsomoriri lake is 28km long & 8km wide) which is the breeding ground of many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed geese. By the late evening you will at Karzok, Overnight stay at Karzok camp.
Today after having breakfast at Tsomoriri camp, start your drive towards Sarchu on the way you will visit Sumdo village and after Sumdo take to your left for Tsokar Lake (salted lake) on the way visit Puga hot spring, later passing Skyang Chuthang which the biggest and highest plateau on stretch of 42km, After that enjoy the scenic beauty of Pang, crossing Nakeela (15547ft) and Lachungla (16616ft). Arrive at Sarchu by late evening, overnight stay at Sarchu camp.
After morning breakfast, began your drive through the Sarchu plain and a beautiful scenic drive crossing Baralacha pass (16050 ft) reach the Baralacha plain till noon enjoy the beauty crossing through Lahaul ranges and reach Rohtang pass (13050 ft) will challenge you with river mud.
